Euro Coin Issues/News in 2014
The year 2014 again promises to be a very interesting one for euro coin collectors.
Some major changes that spring to mind:
- The issue of Euro coins for Latvia which joined the Euro zone on 1st January 2014 - view Latvian Euro Coins.
- The issue of Euro coins for Andorra which joined the Euro zone on 1st January 2014 -view Andorran Euro Coins.
- The issue of a new series of Euro coins for The Netherlands reflecting the change of monarchy.
- The issue of a new series of Euro coins for Belgium reflecting the change of monarchy.
- The issue of a new series of Euro coins for The Vatican reflecting the change of Pope.
- Also of interest are two royal double portraits - change of monarchy in Spain and a 50th anniversary in Luxembourg.
Regarding Commemoratives, 2014 promises to be a great year, even surpassing 2013 which gave us 23 new Commemoratives. Some have already been issued and planned in total by the end of the year are 23. 2014 - 20th anniversary of joining the council of Europe. In the inner circle we see the coat of arms of Andorra plus an artistic 20. Although the coin was minted in 2014 it was only issued in 2016.
