The coin celebrates the 25^th birthday of the heir apparent “Guillaume Jean Joseph Marie of Luxembourg”

Guillaume is the designated successor of Henri.

As the law of Luxembourg requires that the reigning grand duke has to appear on all coins, we have to the left the image of the current grand duke Henri and to the right the image of Guillaume.

The year of issue, 2006 is at the bottom flanked on the left by the mint mark “S” and on the right by the logo if the mint.
