The motif of this coin hails from the campaign in Malta schools where many school childen submitted designs.

Scattered thriughout the inner circle are representations of traditional games played by Maltese children - we see kites, balls , marbles and spinning tops.

Also seen is a grid with numbers (between one and two o'clock). This is a game where a stone is thrown and whatever the number of the grid is into which it lands the thrower has then to hop.

Around the edge of the inner circle near eleven o'clock is the name of the issuing country - Malta. The three bees flying just under Malta reference a popular children's song.

Right at the bottom (six o'clock) is the year of issue - 2020.
