This coin is part of Spain’s world heritage series and features the church – Santa Maria del Naranco.

The church was built in the middle of the 9th century under the Asturian King Ramiro.

The motif is a simple depiction of the church. We see the eastern facade with its loggia containing the altar as well as the north facade with staircase.

Around the edge of the inner circle from eleven to one o’clock is the name of the issuing country ESPAÑA and at two o’clock is the year of issue – 2017.

The mint mark is at nine o’clock.
